Of real and proven Brazilian origin, cashew nut was taken of the land of Northeast Brazil by the Portuguese people for various countries in other continents during the 16th century, where it was adapted making such countries also producers of the fruit, but cashews with dimensions less than those in Brazil are widely produced.

Location

City of Fortaleza, capital of the state of Ceará located in the Northeast of Brazil, AMÊNDOAS DO BRASIL LTDA. offers its clients in Brazil and abroad, consistency of supply for the whole year.

The city has two ports (Port of Pecem and port of Mucuripe) from where the cashews are shipped in vessels with weekly schedule for the various foreign markets, and many inland transport options for the various domestic market destinations.

Certifications

The processing plant is certified with ISO-22000, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), that are pre-requirements for certification ISO-22000, all issued by SGS, and also the Certification Kosher.

Processing

Quality criteria in accordance with the certificates available, since the receipt of the raw material until the final approval of the product are rigorously respected.

The standard of quality of the final product offered is the result of important and exclusive precautions throughout the whole process of cashew nuts.

In the process it’s also extracted the CNSL – Cashew Nut Shell Liquid. The CNSL is an important product by its use as raw material in the manufacture of the most different product lines of the chemical industry, such as: rubber, electrical and plastic insulating , antioxidant for fuels, resins, paints, varnishes, insecticides, germicides, fungicides, garnish for clutch and brakes etc.

Roasting Department

Equipped with modern and efficient automated equipment for dry and oil roasting oven, the company makes available all the grades roasted in several types of packages.

Social Responsibility

AMÊNDOAS DO BRASIL offers its collaborators broad health care professionals for General Practice, Gynecology, Obstetrics, Phonology, Physiotherapy and Social Assistance.

The Company also offers restaurant with balanced meals duly supervised by nutrition professionals.

Daily, before beginning of work time, the employees have gymnastics.
